Physics reconsidered

Research into physics education has demonstrated that students develop a better grasp of concepts if they engage in hands-on or responsive activities. To that end, SFU Surrey senior lecturers Neil Alberding and Sarah Johnson are pioneering a revolutionary new method for teaching first-year calculus-based physics. Their studio format allows students to learn through lab-based teaching and guided study instead of conventional lectures.
