Fonerus, the North American distributor for Shanghai Piano Co., is donating nine pianos a year for the next three years to SFU Contemporary Arts. In all, Fonerus will donate six grand pianos, two upright pianos and one electro-acoustical player. As the new pianos are delivered, the old ones will be donated or auctioned to students, local schools or non-profit organizations, “Building a major arts complex is a huge undertaking that is impossible for one organization to do alone,” says President Michael Stevenson. “We really appreciate organizations like Fonerus who are coming on board to improve the experience of our students.”
