Relay team sets new record

The last weekend of January 2010 saw the SFU Clan distance medley relay team break the current NAIA record with a time of 11:30:96. An SFU team held the previous record of 11:43.08 at the 2005 NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships. Helen Crofts ran the mile portion, Jessica Smith the 1200m, Angela Shaw the 800m and Michaela Kane the 400m. Crofts also registered a personal best in the 800m indoors with a time of 2:06.43, the fourth fastest time at the NCAA Division I meet, while Smith was right behind Crofts with a time of 2:08.08.
