Swim team reclaims cup

After a two-year drought, the Clan swim team has reclaimed the Clan Cup, winning the 2009 title with 546 collective team points, more than 200 ahead of the nearest competition. SFU’s Greg Laughlin won both the 100m and 200m backstroke titles. Teammate Niels Muntzenburger tied UVic’s Jeff Saganski for first in the 50 m butterfly with a time of 26.22. On the women’s side, SFU’s Kristine Lawson tied Vancouver Otters Talia Benson in the 50m freestyle with a time of 27.52. Addie Kolybaba won in the 50m butterfly with a time of 29.26.
