SFURA: Reminder- Nobel Prize Series & Ides of March
To SFURA members:
Reminder: The first lecture of the Nobel Prize Lecture Series om Thursday March 3 will be presented by Professor Michel Leroux, of the Molecular Biology and Biochemistry Department. The title is: Nobel Prize in Chemistry- Aaron Ciechanover, Avram Hershko, Irwin Rose, "for the discovery of ubiquitin-mediated protein degradation"
All lectures will be at SFU Harbour Centre, the Segal Centre Room, on Thursdays at 6:00 pm, and will be presented weekly from March 3 to April 21 (except March 24). Admission is free, but reservations for seats are required. To reserve seats email cs_hc@sfu.ca or telephone 604 291-5100.

On March 10, Professor Howard Trottier of the Physics Department will speak on the Einstein Centenary.
On March 17, Erika Pletter of the Chemistry Department will speak on the secret of smell and olfaction receptors.
