Oda,CIDA, foreign aid

Good morning folks,

Once again I'm reminded that I am not enthusiastic about Canada's
approach to foreign aid. Full disclosure, I've worked overseas on 2
different CIDA projects.

Technology, new institutions, and an alternative model of "a hand up"
rather than "a hand out" have sparked my enthusiasm.

I can provide a hand up to exactly who I want, in which country I want,
to support the specific type of assistance requested. I do it through
kiva.org.  You can too. Please do at least have a look at the web site.

"It?s old news that back in 2009 Oda jettisoned 12 of the world?s
poorest countries ? Benin, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Cameroon, Guyana,
Kenya, Malawi, Nicaragua, Niger, Rwanda, Sri Lanka and Zambia ? from
CIDA?s priority list."
