SFURA Fall Dinner

November 07, 2012

Eagle Creek, Burnaby Mountain Golf course.

Annual Fall Dinner--an evening of dinner, drinks, and socializing.  No-host bar opens at 5:30 pm, followed by dinner at 6:00 pm.
We are pleased to announce that our speaker this year will be Paul Brantingham, Professor, SFU School of Criminology.  His talk is entitled "The Journey to Crime in the context of falling crime rates."  The talk outlines on-going research in the Institute for Canadian Urban Research Studies that looks at crime trends in British Columbia and along the west coast of North America, and then illustrates the crime patterns flowing from movement patterns of some 28,000 prolific offenders in the Lower Mainland.
