We are pleased to announce that arrangements have been made for a repeat of our annual Day at the Races at Hastings Racetrack. The "Marg Jones Stakes" (as it's known to SFURA members) will be run on Sunday, August 9th, starting around 1 pm. Please note the change of day from Saturday in the past to Sunday this year. (The track no longer has Saturday afternoon races in August, given their Friday evening races during that month.) The post time for the first race is 1:50pm. Buffet is served from 12:00pm to 3:30pm; dessert to 4:00pm.
Please note the Aug 5th deadline for response. If you plan to attend it would really help if you respond as soon as possible, especially because Silks requires me to put down a 25% deposit. I've booked for 30 to 40 attendees.

The cost is $27.11 per person. Please advise the number of places you require and include a cheque for the appropriate amount, payable to SFURA.
The above price includes entrance, afternoon buffet, gratuity, and GST, but not program or parking.
To park, enter through PNE Gate #6 off Renfrew Street. Parking is $10 (tell the attendant that you are going to Hastings Racecourse and receive a special parking ticket that you can exchange for a Live Racing Program). Programs are also available for sale at the entrance to Silks Restaurant.

Walk through the Clubhouse Entrance, and take the elevator to Silks Restaurant. A Customer Service Representative will direct or escort you to our reserved section in the Silks Restaurant. (Note that we have reserved one table for four on the main level for those with mobility problems.) There will be eight races, so you can come early and stay until the end (approximately 6 pm) or leave after you have enjoyed a few races and refreshments.
Buffet will be served from 12 noon until 3:30 pm.
