Why RISE?

SFU Public Square, in partnership with Vancouver Foundation, created the RISE ideas competition to raise awareness about the issue of sea level rise in Metro Vancouver, and to provide the space for innovative ideas to emerge. SFU Public Square’s regular events and our annual Community Summit proclaim SFU’s vision to be Canada’s leading community-engaged research university. Read more about the 2014 Community Summit on the theme of Innovation on our website.
