“No Pants” Pub Night – March 31st, 2011

Thank you to our friends and the SFU community for supporting our “No Pants” themed fundraiser on March 31st, 2011 at the Highland Pub at SFU Burnaby. Everyone had a great time either dropping their pants at the door (taking advantage of our $1 pants check service) as well as showing up in grand costume!
We raised a grand total of ~$1400, which goes right back to the development of the club in paying for equipment purchases. We are hoping to increase our fleet of boats this summer with a new (used) heavyweight men’s boat, as currently our heavyweights have no boats to row except in the 8+! We are also looking to purchase a new cox box and two stroke coaches, and are continuing in our fundraising efforts in order to be able to afford these investments for the future development of the club.
We would also like to thank the Simon Fraser Student Society (SFSS) for sponsoring our Pub Night with poster printing, as well as covering the costs of security and DJ for the night.
