My name is Martin Häfele and I am in the Ph.D. program here at SFU's Department of Geography.  A geographer by training and heart my research is mostly in the realm of remote sensing.  More specifically about remote sensing and its use in resource management and environmental monitoring.  Yet more specifically I am dealing mainly with aquatic environments, namely the monitoring of suspended sediment concentration and fish habittat evaluation.  If you want to find out more, select 'current research' below.  Just in case I have also provided some information on my research before coming to SFU and some personal information.  Feel free to browse and if you'd like to chat with me send me an  e-mail .
