SAS/AF Software: Class Dictionary

Overview

The Text Viewer class displays text files in a frame. With the text viewer you can

display different types of text files in one viewer
change the color and font of text elements
display a column ruler and line numbers
change the viewed text at run time
hotspot text areas to perform actions.

The text files are delivered to the viewer by a model. Unlike the External File Viewer and the Catalog Entry Viewer classes, the Text Viewer class does not have a predefined model attached to it. Although you can attach any model to the generic text viewer, that model must be a subclass of the Text Model Template class. See the Text Model Template class.

The Text Viewer and related classes use the model/view paradigm described in SAS/AF online help.
