TECHNICIAN, GRADE 9 / SCHOOL OF CONTEMPORARY ARTS / SFU VANCOUVER

As directed by the SCA Technical Director and in consultation with Production and Design faculty, the Technician is the primary position responsible for the carpentry and costume shops, and assists in the delivery of technical services for the School’s productions as produced by the undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Provides technical advice, demonstration, guidance, and assistance to faculty, sessional instructors, and students on the proper use of tools and equipment in the carpentry shops and costume shop. Maintains the facility and equipment and oversees the safe use of the various production areas in compliance with University, WorkSafeBC, and WHMIS regulations.
