And you're invited!

New and current SCA students, alumni, faculty and members of the art community in Vancouver are invited to join us for a special kick off event to celebrate SFU’s 50th milestone. 

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

2:00-5:00pm, OPEN STUDIOS

The 4th floor studios will be taken over by Dance and Theatre alumni, including Hong Kong ExileO, o, o, o. Theatre Collective, Raven Spirit Dance, and Warehaus Dance Collective with a mix of open rehearsals and performances.

Lara Amelie Abadir will present Domestication Monsters, an audio-visual installation in Studio D

Dr. Henry Daniel will present Encounters in Studio T

The MFA Graduating Exhibition with present new work by Lucien Durey, Curtis Grahauer, and Jaime Williams in the Audian Gallery

4:00pm, OUTDOOR PERFORMANCE               

Faculty member Ker Wells and MFA Graduate Student Robert Leveroos will present a never-seen-before performance on the concourse to be viewed from the 2nd floor balcony

4:30-5:45pm, RECEPTION in Djavad Mowafaghian World Art Centre

5:00pm, The Man Who Planted Trees (30 min) - NFB animated short               
Eye of Newt screening featuring live music by alumni Stefan Smulovitz and Bill Clark as well as faculty members Martin Gotfrit and Albert St. Albert

Bursary, Private Scholarship and Award Application deadlines for Fall term is Friday, September 18 for new and current students. 


Need to see a Financial Aid Advisor? 

If you can't find an answer to your question through our updated FA&A website, please come by and see an advisor in person, at the SFU Burnaby campus. Our office is located on the top floor of the Maggie Benston Centre (3000 level). This support is available to both undergraduate and graduate students at SFU.

Drop-in times* are available as follows:

Monday, Tuesday and Thursday - 9:30 am to 3:30 pm
Wednesday - 9:30 am to 2:00 pm
Friday - 10:00 am - 3:30 pm

*subject to change without notice

Financial Aid and Awards provides some limited drop-in times at SFU Surrey (currently every Tuesday) and SFU Vancouver (currently every Thursday) campuses as well.

Drop-in times are meant to accommodate as many students as possible. However, if you can not make it during the drop-in times listed above, please schedule an appointment.

Financial Aid and Awards - Bursary Only Application Deadline - all students 

The Bursary Only Application for Fall 2015 is currently open for all new and current students (undergraduate (both domestic and international) and graduate (both domestic and international)). The deadline to apply online and submit your completed application is Friday, September 18, 2015. 

To apply, please log in to the Student Information System at go.sfu.ca - Then click Self-service, Student Center, Apply for Bursaries/Work Study. Please note that students will not be assessed for Work Study during this Bursary Only period. If you applied previously during our Work-Study application period (back in July) for the Fall term, please do not apply again. Your application will automatically be reviewed for bursary funding for the Fall 2015 term. Notification on whether you will receive funding or not, will occur around the 7th week of classes.

Financial Aid and Awards - SFU Undergraduate Private Scholarship and Award Application Deadline

The Undergraduate Private Scholarship and Award application deadline for continuing undergraduate students for the Fall 2015 term is Friday, September 18, 2015.

Undergraduate students must apply using the online application process which is found on the Student Centre on the Student Information System (go.sfu.ca). Look for the Apply for Scholarships/Awards link.
Some opportunities may require supporting documents. You cannot upload these online. Further instructions on how to provide these documents to Financial Aid and Awards will be provided to you when you submit the online application form. Please read all the information carefully. Supporting documents for your application must be received in our office by Friday September 18, 2015. No late applications/documentation will be accepted.
