The SCA's Sky Hopinka has been awarded a 2020 Guggenheim Fellowship. Congratulations, Sky!

He was chosen amongst "a diverse group of 175 writers, scholars, artists, and scientists ... from almost 3,000 applicants in the Foundation’s ninety-sixth competition." As we've covered before HERE, Hopinka has been very busy with multiple projects, screenings, and exhibitions, as well as teaching at the SCA, including leading the course-based version of Skoden Indigenous Film Festival, which was produced and organized with SFU students.
