The Body Remembers When The World Broke Open

The Body Remembers When The World Broke Open, the dramatic feature co-written and co-directed by SCA alumni Kathleen Hepburn and Elle-Maija Tailfeathers (who also acts in the film), continues to have great success – and great press.

The film was a 'critics pick' in the New York Times and positively reviewed – "a film that’s as urgent and unpretentious as it is remarkable" – in the Los Angeles Times. The filmmakers have also gained support from filmmaker Ava DuVernay, whose film company ARRAY is now backing the film. Watch an interview with DuVernay, Hepburn, Tailfeathers, and Violet Nelson, who plays Rosie in the film, on Good Day LA HERE.

If all that is not enough, as well as more screenings in Canada and internationally, the film has been added to Netflix in the US, UK, Australia, and New Zealand, and will be added to CBC Gem in 2020.
