Experimental Theory Experiments Symposium

Saturday June 8, 2019 | 9:30 to 4:30
Victoria Event Centre | 1415 Broad Street, Victoria

Experimental Theory Experiments Symposium focuses on the themes of improvisation and play. Presenters were asked to do two things: to play with concepts, theories and projects in ways that they normally wouldn’t in an academic setting; to explore how they might focus on the form of their presentation, not just its content.

Featuring presentations by: Hélène Cazes, Fabio Akcelrud Durão, Anthony J. Gavin, Natali Leduc and David Gifford (aka Puppets Forsaken), Jasper Heaton and Jelena Markovic, Carrie Jenkins, Luke James Leo Kernan, Arthur Kroker, Sara Ramshaw and Kristen Lewis, Emily Murphy, Loumille Métros, the SCA's Eldritch Priest, and Nikolaus Wasmoen.

The symposium will be followed by an evening performance event at the Ministry of Casual Living (858 Devonshire Road).

Organized by seismopoetics and sponsored by the Cultural, Social & Political Thought Program at the University of Victoria.
