Peter Dickinson’s Long Division

Long Division uses text, multimedia, and physical theatre to create a play about the mathematics of human connection. The play focuses on seven characters linked – sometimes directly, sometimes more obliquely – by a sequence of tragic events. These characters offer lessons on number theory, geometry and logic, while revealing aspects of their inner lives, and collectively the nature of their relationships to one another.

Dean will begin the day with a sitting of the Music Placement Test, which is required to study in the Music Area at the SCA. Next, he'll give a tour of the SCA at SFU at Goldcorp Centre, which would be of interest to all students. Finally, he'll give an optional tour of the 611 Alexander Studios, which would be of particular interest to Visual Art students.

Music Placement Test: 9:30am–10:30am in Room 2205 (please check for signage in lobby in case room is changed)
Tour of 149 W. Hastings: 11:00am–12:30pm
Tour 611 Alexander: 1:00pm–2:00pm

Both tours begin in the lobby of SFU at Goldcorp Centre for the Arts (149 W. Hastings St.).

But take note: 611 Alexander is about a 10 minute walk so wear walking shoes and bring an umbrella!
