'The unique opportunity to combine practical and theoretical approaches within an interdisciplinary School was the first thing that attracted me to the Art and Culture Studies program; it proved to be extremely beneficial to both my scholarly work and my development as a performer. As Art and Culture Studies program encompasses such a diversity and breadth, I found I was able to invent, develop, and pursue my own intellectual curriculum, and having such a focus really prepared me for my graduate school career. The academic rigor of Art and Culture Studies program definitely provided me with a strong foundation and has prepared me well for my future pursuits; however, the most rewarding thing has been the continued support of the extremely committed faculty beyond my time at SFU.'
