Bio:

Liz joined Praxis Centre for Screenwriters in 2012. She graduated from SFU's School for the Contemporary Arts in 2008 with a BFA in Film, and continues to make independent film + video work outside of her office hours. She has screened her work at various festivals including the Toronto International Film Festival, Austin Film Festival, New Forms Festival, Female Eye Film Festival, Music Waste Festival, and the Montreal Film Festival.

Bio:

Samantha is happy to be back at SFU after completing her Bachelor of Arts degree in 2005.  She started working in SCA in May 2013.   Before this, she was working in SFU’s School of Communication and Faculty of Health Sciences and Alumni Relations at The University of Melbourne and UBC.

Bio:

Chelsea is new to the School for Contemporary Arts. Before she started here, she was working in community development and food security in the downtown eastside.  She graduated from SFU with a BA in Health Sciences in 2009.

Milton Lim

Bio:

Milton is thrilled to be working with the administration team at SFU. Beyond the office, he is a collaborative performance artist, actor, and director with a physical devising background informed by contemporary psychology. Milton graduated from SFU Contemporary Arts in 2012 with a major in psychology and an honours in theatre performance; he is a Co-Artistic Director of the interdisciplinary arts company, Hong Kong Exile.

Bio:

Kristen has worked at SFU since 2006. Starting in Student Services, she then moved on to Geography and most recently was the acting Manager, Academic and Administrative Services in Computing Science. She earned her BA in Music Therapy from (then) Capilano College.  Earlier post-secondary educational pursuits included studies in science, kinesiology and one semester in the SFU dance program.

Stefan Smulovitz

Bio:

From Vancouver to Los Angeles, New York to Quebec City, award-winning composer, collaborator, violist and laptop artist Stefan Smulovitz has created more than 50 live scores for films and performed with many of today's leading improvisors including Fred Frith, Evan Parker and Uri Caine.  Stefan has been commissioned by the Vancouver Symphony, the PuSh International Performing Arts Festival and numerous instrumental and vocal ensembles.  His collaborative creations have been developed for theatre, dance, art installations, and DVD-ROMs, and his game-changing software -- Kenaxis -- is used by musicians around the world.
