APPLYING FOR TEACHING ASSISTANT (TA) OR RESEARCH ASSISTANT (RA) POSITIONS

Please note that in order to apply for a Teaching Assistant position or a Research Assistant position, you must have both:

  • Canadian Bank Account
  • Canadian Social Insurance Number (SIN)

Once you have arrived to Canada and obtained both the above, you are then eligible to apply for a TA and/or RA.

International Services for Students (ISS)

SFU Health & Counselling provides support and services to all SFU students regarding medical issues or mental being. They have a team of physicians, psychologists and clinical counsellors that are available to support you.

SFU Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies
SFU’s Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (GPS) oversees all graduate matters such as admissions, defences, awards and scholarships. They also provide support to faculties and schools when required.
