We are pleased to announce that Colin Copeland has joined SFU's SEE program as Associate Professor in February and was appointed Graduate Program Chair in October. His research focus is in the area of thermos-fluids.

“The challenge that interests me is in developing tools and techniques that help utilize the new additive manufacturing design freedom by optimizing designs using detailed multi-physics modelling coupled to advanced machine learning or mathematical optimization strategies. I look forward to building a research group and laboratory that can tackle industrially relevant problems in the field of sustainable energy that make a rapid but lasting impact on reducing our carbon footprint."
