SOUTH FRASER REGIONAL SCIENCE FAIR
The eleventh annual South Fraser Regional Science Fair for Grades 7 – 12 students from Surrey and Delta public and independent schools was held on April 6 and April 7, 2017, at Kwantlen Polytechnic University's Surrey Campus.
From this year's Fair eight students represented the South Fraser region at the Canada-Wide Science Fair in Regina, SK, May 14-20, 2017.
Read about their trip on the SFRSF team blog.
The South Fraser team had great success at the CWSF. Four of the region's five projects were awarded medals of excellence. Further, Charles Wang and Spencer Zezulka were selected for a Youth CAN Innovate Award which brought an $8000 cash prize. Details can be found at Virtual CWSF by entering 2017 for "Year" and South Fraser for "Region".
We would like to thank all participants at this year's fair, their
families and teachers, for making the event a resounding success. We
also like to thank all our sponsors without whose generous financial
backing holding the fair would not be possible. We are also indebted
to all the judges who contributed their time to judge the projects on
the first evening of the Fair.
