Upcoming Discussion: Case-studies and problem-based learning

September 27, 2011
Room: “fishbowl” Room 11002, Blusson Hall, SFU
Time: noon to 1:00, bring your lunch

We have a diverse selection of courses in FHS ranging from first year knowledge-transfer courses to graduate level MPH courses in which students are expected to deepen their skills in self-regulated learning. There is agreement that problem-based learning approaches, such as case studies, will enhance student engagement and encourage creative mastery of material. In the next FHS T&L discussion we will share approaches to using case studies in different types of classes.

Please bring an example of an approach you are using.
