More H1N1 and Seasonal Flu Vaccination Availability for Higher Risk Students

SFU Health and Counselling Services (HCS) has received a very LIMITED amount of flu vaccine for HIGH RISK individuals.  It is being closely controlled by the health authorities (aka ”public health”).  If you have any questions about external clinics please visit the BC government flu clinic locator at http://www.health.gov.bc.ca/flu/, contact your family doctor, or visit your local health authority website:

Vancouver Coastal Health Authority (North Shore/Coast Garibaldi, Vancouver and Richmond.)

Fraser Health Authority (Fraser North, Fraser South and Fraser East)

Starting Monday Nov 2, HCS will be hosting H1N1 and Seasonal flu vaccination clinics for these higher risk people.  On Nov 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6th they can drop-in to HCS at SFU Burnaby, Maggie Benston Centre (MBC 0101) between 1:30 – 4:00pm to get vaccinated – while our limited daily supplies last.

HIGH RISK is determined by Public Health.  Starting Nov 2 those who can access the vaccine at SFU include:

Please bring your Care Card.

Public Health officials expect all other people (not falling into a higher risk group) will be able to access the vaccines SOMETIME in DECEMBER.  HCS will host Flu Clinics for all other people as soon as possible – check back here for updates.
