Vaccine Availability Update, Nov. 10, 2009

Flu vaccine availability at SFU has extended to Nov 12 and 13.    For SFU pandemic plan information or H1N1 information visit http://www.sfu.ca/H1N1.

SFU students, faculty and staff who fall into Phase 2 HIGH RISK group can get vaccinated for both H1N1 flu and seasonal flu at the Burnaby campus, Nov. 12, and 13 from 1:30pm-4pm at Health and Counselling Services, in the Maggie Benston Centre, Room MBC 0101.  

It is only available through drop-in during those times while supplies last – we are not taking flu vaccine appointments – but please note daily vaccines are limited.  Please bring your CareCard.

Information on the broadening of the RISK GROUP criteria is not available as of Nov 10.  BC public health officials have not yet given an exact date of when the vaccine will be available to the general population.  They have recently stated that it will probably be available in December.  We will post more information as it becomes available and if we are able to add more flu vaccine dates.
