For those who haven’t seen the television commercials, Disney is offering a free pass to one of their theme parks in return for a day of volunteering with a participating organization in their “Give a day, get a Disney day” program.
For those interested you can find information at Disney’s website or you can find eligible opportunities in your own area at govolunteer.com. Both sites allow you to search for a volunteer opportunity that fits your needs and schedule. After searching sign up with Disney, complete your volunteering commitment and redeem your free ticket!
Disney’s goal is to get one million people to volunteer for one day. People 18 years and older are eligible to sign up but can do so for up to 8 members of a household (all must be over 6 years), so the whole family can get a one day ticket to either the Disneyland Resort or the Walt Disney World Resort. Tickets are limited, so, although the program runs until December 15th, 2010, you may want to sign up as soon as possible.
For those of you that know of an organization that wants to take part in this program and give their volunteers a free Disney pass, get the organization to sign up at govolunteer.com. It’s a simple and free process that will help the organization find volunteers and give those volunteers the opportunity to go to Disney!
