Got great writing skills? Become a Business Writing Mentor!

The SFU Business Writing Mentors program provides undergraduate students registered in business courses with practical resources to help them develop strong critical writing skills.  Through a pre-booked 60 minute weekly session and additional drop-in hours,  the program assists students with both short-term and long-term writing issues.

This program is currently recruiting new writing mentors. If you’re confident about your writing skills and you meet the qualifications below, applying for this volunteer position might give you the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the academic life of a fellow undergraduate student while also gaining valuable work-related skills.

Qualifications:
• strong writing ability
• sound knowledge of the English language and rules of grammar and punctuation
• patient, enjoy helping people, good communicator
• tutoring experience in any subject (preferred)
• a grade of  “B+” or higher in BUS 360W
