Be a Part of the SFU Dzaleka Project and Help Refugees in Africa

If you’re looking to volunteer with a group involved in humanitarian efforts, then this is the perfect opportunity.  The SFU Dzaleka Project is a student run group, whose aim is to raise money and awareness about Dzaleka, a Malawian refugee camp in Africa.

This group is currently putting together an executive team to help achieve their fundraising goals so that they can sponsor a refugee family to Canada.  Positions that need to be filled include Events Coordinator, HR and Recruitment Coordinator, Treasurer, Communication Committee Chair, and Co-Chair.  The details for each of these positions can be found on Symplicity.

This is a wonderful opportunity to not only help make a difference in the lives of people less privileged than we are, but also, to gain valuable leadership skills, which are an asset in pretty much any field of work.  You can build on your communication and organizational skills as well as be a part of a group that is passionate and dedicated to their cause.

For more information and instructions on how to apply for an executive position with the SFU Dzaleka Project, log on to Symplicity.  Also, don’t forget to check out their Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=101758426402.
