Interested in Europe? Volunteer with Eurofest Magazine

Are you interested in pursuing a career in journalism?  Or perhaps you’re just interested in Europe and their culture and traditions.  If so, volunteering with the Eurofest BC Society would be a great start.  This not-for-profit organization works to promote cultural diversity in British Columbia and increase awareness of European heritage.  They are best known for managing the annual European Festival that occurs on the last Saturday of May.  They are also involved in publishing the Eurofest Magazine every year, celebrating European heritage and now you too can be a part of it.

They are currently looking for individuals to join their writing, photography and advertising teams for their 2011 publication of the magazine.  This is a great opportunity if you are interested in pursuing a career in any of these fields or if you are just curious to learn more about European culture and be more involved in the community.

If you are interested in advertising, marketing or public relations, you can be a part of their advertising team and help them contact local businesses or organizations that may be interested in advertising in their magazine.  This is a great opportunity to build on your knowledge as well as learn new valuable skills in the field.  You can also volunteer as a writer or photographer and have the opportunity to get your work published by a respected and well-known organization.  Five thousand copies of this magazine will be distributed throughout the Greater Vancouver region so your work will get a lot of exposure.

If you are interested in any of these fields of work and would like to be a part of Eurofest Magazine 2011, contact Eurofest BC by calling 604-828-8788.  You can also check out their website for more information at http://www.eurofestbc.ca/Volunteer.htm
