Go Green with the SFU Sustainability Festival

With the fall semester in full swing, I’m sure you’re all hitting the books and trying to keep up with all your courses.  That said, if you’re looking for a change of pace and want to help out a great cause, consider volunteering at the SFU Sustainability Festival.

This event will take place on Wednesday September 29 at the Burnaby campus and has been organized in an effort to educate people about the importance of sustainable living and the many different ways you can incorporate sustainability into your everyday lives.  The maintenance of our environment is critical for us all, which is why SFU has been very committed to going green.  This event will include all things sustainable such as an eco fashion show, green technology, eco-friendly food and much more.

If you would like to volunteer for this event, plenty of opportunities are available.  You can help set up booths, assist backstage during the eco fashion show, help out the musicians, take surveys, or navigate the guests around campus, just to name a few.

For all the details, go to http://www.sfu.ca/sustainabilityfestival/volunteers/ and fill out the web form if you are interested in volunteering.  The deadline for applications is September 25, so be sure to get on it.  Be part of SFU’s commitment to sustainable living.
