Remembrance Day 2010

Buy your poppies and show your support this Thursday, November 11th.  Although we all have a day off of class, let’s not forgot the importance of Remembrance Day –and of the veterans who gave their lives for our country and our freedom.

November 11th commemorates the end of the First World War, but this day is also significant because it recalls the many people who have fought in wars since. Don’t forget to take a moment of silence on Thursday at 11:00 am to focus on the many civilians and members of the armed forces who have sacrificed themselves. Find a memorial ceremony in your own community to partake in and remember to be thankful.

Wear your poppy close to your heart – Lest we forget.
