Raising Funds for the Pakistan Flood Relief

Pakistan Flood ReliefHeavy rains in Pakistan have left 21 million people homeless and in dire need of emergency assistance. As a response to this situation, a group of SFU students is organizing events in order to raise money for relief efforts in the country.

The Pre-dentistry Club and L.I.F.E. for Children Fundraising society are having a month-long event to raise funds for the victims of the floods in Pakistan. Every Wednesdays and Thursdays for the rest of the Fall semester, there will be tables set up in the AQ hallway from 10:00am-5:00pm. On sale will be different kinds of perfume/cologne sets as well as some household items and candies.  If you don’t see the perfume or cologne of your choice, you can also order from the organizers of the event.

As an added incentive to support this cause, everyone who visits the table will be given a chance to enter to win free movie tickets or gift cards. For more information, please send an email to sfuhelpsdonate@hotmail.ca.

Pakistan Flood Victims Fundraiser – in the Convo Mall

In addition to the tables in the AQ, the Pre-Dentistry Club and L.I.F.E. for Children Fundraising Society is organizing a similar event for  November 18. This Thursday, there will be booths set up in the Convocation mall (in front of the library) from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Funds raised at this event will also go to the Pakistan flood relief.

With the dire situation in Pakistan, every penny counts! Be sure to support these events and help the people of Pakistan.
