The New Year has just begun! Everyone is doing their best to stick to their New Year’s resolutions. One of United Nations’s resolutions this year is to protect fragile forest ecosystems and to “raise awareness on sustainable management, conservation and sustainable development of all types of forests.”
The SFU campus on Burnaby Mountain is surrounded by an amazing piece of protected area: Burnaby Mountain Conservation Area. Make sure you take the time to enjoy the Centennial Rose Garden, get some exercise on the trails, and most of all, enjoy the view of downtown Vancouver and the incredible North Shore Mountains landscapes.
