The Weekend to End Women’s Cancer is a two day run or walk that takes place every year in support of the BC Cancer Foundation to help raise money for breast cancer and gynecologic cancers. Since 2004, they have raised over $33 million and enabled many advances in cancer research.
You too can help raise awareness for this event and have a little fun while you’re at it. On Wednesday, January 26, support the National Wear it Pink Day and learn more about the Weekend to End Women’s Cancer. Encourage people to sign up for the weekend, tell them what it is all about or make a donation.
You can also have some fun with the colour pink:
Anything pink that can help raise awareness about the weekend is great.
The main event takes place on August 13-14, 2011 so you have plenty of time to learn more and help out.
And remember, don’t get caught without pink on January 26.
