PuSh Festival: January 18 – February 6

With the Folk festival and Fringe festival behind us, Vancouver’s mid-winter festival is PuSh, a celebration of the live performing arts.

Genre-bending, multi-disciplined, and innovative, each show promises to offer something completely unpredictable. Founded in 2003, with its first year offering a modest collection of curated theatrical performances. 7 years later, its scope has expanded massively. It now stands as a broker of international partnerships and a showcase of Canada’s best and brightest in the performing arts. The performances provide an avenue for dialogue and innovation for the Vancouver community. Performances are provided in part with SFU Contemporary Arts and sponsored by SFU Woodwards.

Put on a hiatus in 2010 due to the Olympic Games, it’s back and in full swing.  Though the volunteer team for PuSh Festival has already been recruited, it’s not too late to enjoy the performances, many of which are FREE.
