SFU UNICEF Fundraiser for Democratic Republic of Congo and Japan

Calling all fashion lovers, all advocators for children’s rights, all multicultural enthusiasts, and all who want to contribute to a great cause for the people in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Japan.

You are invited to a night of multicultural talent and fashion galore!

SFU UNICEF is hosting A Multicultural Experience Fashion Show to raise funds for the Democratic Republic of Congo war victims and Japan earthquake/tsunami-struck victims.

A Multicultural Experience Fashion Show will take place Sunday, March 27, 2011 at the Grand Taj Hall in Surrey, from 7:30 until LATE.

There is a multicultural/semi-formal dress code for this family-oriented event aimed at creating awareness and providing aid to war-affected victims in the Democratic Republic of Congo. SFU UNICEF has joined a nation-wide project focused on advocating and educating others about the risks that millions of children face throughout the developing world.

“At the height of the war, it was estimated that up to 33,000 children were fighting or living with armed forces or militia groups throughout the Democratic Republic of Congo.”
