History in Film: V is for Volunteers!

Are you curious to see what the non-profit sector looked like sixty years ago?

Volunteer Burnaby will be screening V is for Volunteers! Filmed in 1951, it tells the story of a suburban housewife finding new purpose and satisfaction through volunteering in her neighbourhood. Reluctant at first,  she eventually finds her place assisting the local welfare program.
