Jean Therapy

Are you one of those people who abhor wearing dress pants during the work week and count down to every casual Friday when you can whip out those perfectly-whiskered acid wash jeans? Well here’s a way to wear them on a Thursday (gasp!), and support a great cause while doing so too.

The BC Children’s Hospital Foundation raises funds every year through their annual Jeans Day initiative. To date, the project has raised over $11.7 million since 1991 for the BC Children’s Hospital Excellence in Child Health Fund, “providing the essential services, research and advanced technology necessary to make leading pediatric care accessible to the province’s one million children.” You, too, can help ailing kids in our province by purchasing a $20 lapel pin or a $5 button from a participating retailer. On Thursday, April 28th, you’re encouraged to proudly don your lapel pin or button with your ridiculously hot jeans, all while supporting a worthy cause – as if getting to wear your jeans two days in a row during a work week wasn’t incentive enough!
