Take Part in SFU’s Annual Week of Welcome

Remember the first day when you stepped into the concrete buildings of SFU? Interested in helping students who are going to be reliving the same experience? Here is a chance to get involved with SFU and welcome new students for fall 2009! SFU Student and Developing Program is currently seeking volunteers for their annual Week of Welcome.

There are two volunteering opportunities:

  1. Orientation Crew (O-Crew): Volunteers will be helping out with events, new students and other behind the scene responsibilities. Week of Welcome takes place on September 2nd and 3rd at Burnaby and Surrey Campus, with a time commitment of 4-8 hour shifts.If interested or for more information, contact Stevie Benisch at scb@sfu.ca (Burnaby) and Candy Ho at candyh@sfu.ca (Surrey).
  2. Week of WelcomeWeek of Welcome Crew (WOW Crew): Volunteers will be assisting SFU clubs and associations that will be hosting activities for the new students and to celebrate the start of a new academic year. This event will take place at both the Burnaby and Surrey campuses. Volunteers will be required to work at least one or all of the days from Tuesday, September 8th to Friday, September 11th from 9-4 pm.If interested or for more information, please email Jennifer McParland at ulife@sfu.ca
