Citizens Crime Watch Patrol

Seeing optimistic ‘statuses’ on social media sites (like Facebook and Twitter), movements to help fix our city, and how the police attempted to settle the situation, I can’t help but feel empowered that there are still many positive and engaged citizens in this city.

So let’s continue this involvement by preventing crime. The Citizens Crime Watch Patrol is looking for volunteers to help act as extra “eyes and ears” for the police.

Location

Although the link I’ve posted is specifically for the Vancouver police department, the Citizens Crime Watch Patrol is also established in most cities in the Lower Mainland (e.g. Richmond, Surrey etc.) – so volunteer in the city most convenient to you!

How it Works

On weekend evenings you will help keep an eye out for crimes using your own vehicles (you will receive a gas certificate, don’t worry).

Training

As a volunteer, you will be trained in the following:

Requirements
