The countdown is on for one of the most popular events in Vancouver: the Celebration of Lights. The event is celebrating its 21st year of bringing spectacular fireworks to the city. Unlike in the past, this year’s competition will only be three nights but will feature previous winners bringing their ‘A’ game to town. The contestants will be China, Spain, and of course, Canada.
The fireworks this year fall on July 30th, August 3rd, and August 6th. The celebration of lights continually draws huge crowds and is family-friendly, bringing the numbers in attendance easily past the hundred thousand mark. This year, for the first time, tickets will be available for bleacher seats for those who don’t want to wait on the beach. However, if you want to secure a sweet viewing spot and gain some volunteer experience, this year’s host brand.LIVE is looking for volunteers.
A number of different volunteer positions are available including; crowd marshalls, set up and tear down, VIP area attendants and hosts, green team participants, and wrist banders checking tickets in the bleachers. Besides enjoying the show, volunteers will be invited to the exclusive brand.LIVE after party, receive a free t-shirt, and take part in one of the most exciting Vancouver events of the summer.
Volunteers will be required to commit to at least 12 hours and attend a mandatory volunteer for a briefing about what to expect at the events. If you are interested in volunteering contact email@example.com or visit their volunteer website for more information about getting involved.
