Have Big Dreams? Jump start into a Big future at the Big Fair! 3 Days, 3 Great Fairs in One!

For the first time ever, the Volunteer Fair, Career Fair and Graduate Fair are combining into one Big Fair. Over the course of three days on the Burnaby and Surrey campuses, the 2011 SFU Big Fair will host over 120 exhibitors, allowing students to network with various employers, professional schools and non-profit organizations and learn more about what great opportunities they have to offer. This large-scale event is presented by SFU Career Services and AIESEC SFU.

The Volunteer & Community Engagement Fair, hosted by SFU Volunteer Services and their supporting partner, Volunteer Burnaby, will feature over 45 non-profit agencies to inform SFU students and alumni about their causes and how they can get involved.  On September 28th, SFU President Andrew Petter will deliver a special address on the value of volunteerism at the Community Reception at 3pm in the Saywell Hall Atrium.

SFU students have an outstanding reputation as engaged citizens on campus and in the greater community. They recognize the significance of making a difference in the lives of others and have big visions to build a better future. The Volunteer and Community Engagement Fair seeks to promote experiential learning and personal development through active, civic involvement, to build connections between SFU and the non-profit world, and to encourage the new generation to engage with issues that affect our ever-changing, dynamic local and global communities.
Through volunteering, we learn more about ourselves and the world around us.

The Volunteer and Community Engagement Fair will be held in Burnaby on September 28th and 29th in the AQ South from 11-3pm, alongside the Career and Graduate Fairs. There will also be Career and Graduate fairs at the Mezzanine in Surrey on September 27th rom 10-3pm.

If you are planning on attending the fair, drop by the SFU Volunteer Services table to find out more about the various opportunities, resources, and programs available to students. Volunteer Services will be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding volunteering and getting involved in your community.
