Volunteer opportunity with SFU Volunteer Services
SFU Volunteer Services’ mission is to empower students to be engaged citizens. You can contribute to our mission by helping us promote volunteerism and civic engagement to SFU students and connecting them to opportunities on campus and beyond.
Volunteers are needed to help scout out and write short (100-400 words) blog entries and stories for the Volunteer Services ENGAGE blog.
Blog entries can be about timely news stories and topics related to volunteerism and civic engagement, interesting campus volunteer programs, individuals or student groups doing great things, etc.
Read this terrific testimonial from one of our former bloggers on the benefits of writing for ENGAGE: http://blogs.sfu.ca/services/volunteer/2011/09/6-reasons-why-you-should-blog-for-sfu-volunteer-services/
Contact Kim Thee, Volunteer Services Advisor, at firstname.lastname@example.org with a brief email explaining why you are interested in writing for us, a writing sample (e.g., a blog post you’ve written), and 2-3 story idea pitches for ENGAGE.
