Do you love ART? Share your passion with Richmond Art Gallery!

Street graffiti. Art sculptors. Oil paintings. Photographs of your families and friends you took on your last road trip. What do all these things have in common? Believe it or not, they are all forms of art! If you enjoy contemporary art and love going to exhibitions and galleries, you should consider sharing your passion with Richmond Art Gallery by becoming a classroom assistant!

As a classroom assistant, you will work with the art gallery’s instructors to prepare and help coordinate art projects, workshops and gallery tours. This is a great opportunity to learn more about contemporary art and artists while improving your communications and interpersonal skills!

If working with children is not your thing, you should consider becoming exhibition tour guides during the 2010 Winter Olympics! You will have the chance to meet and interact with visitors from around the world while giving tours of the exhibition. As well, if you are looking for event coordination experiences, this is an opportunity you do not want to miss out on because you will help manage ongoing events and programs.

Looking for low commitment, one-time volunteer opportunities? The Richmond Art Gallery holds many special events throughout the year, such as conferences and artist talks, and they are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers like you!
