Banking on you
November 19, 2009
The SFU Food Bank’s annual winter food drive runs Nov. 23–Dec. 12, with departments across the university collecting non-perishable items such as cereal, canned meat and fish, beans, vegan and vegetarian soups and canned fruit and vegetables. Chris Oatman of Student Development, which co-administers the Food Bank with the Simon Fraser Student Society, says the number of food bank clients has increased significantly in the past year. "Any donation of cash or food would be greatly appreciated," he says. Donations can also be dropped off year-round at MBC 2000. For more information: 778.782.4476, foodbank@sfu.ca
