BC export award for Beedie grad
Larisa Topalo, who received a Bachelor of Business Administration with an extended minor in economics at October convocation, has won the 2011 BC Export Award for International Business Studies. The $3,000 award recognizes a post-secondary student who has shown leadership and excelled in international studies while contributing to the BC export community. Topalo completed three exchange semesters, represented Canada as a young trade ambassador in Peru, volunteered with SFU International and global youth group AIESEC and represented SFU at competitions in the Netherlands and Poland. Most recently, she launched an Ambassadors Program to promote the Beedie School of Business in the community. “I have been passionate about international opportunities for companies and individuals for a long time,” says Topalo. “It’s nice to be recognized.”
