Beedie School of Business undergraduates Flora Lee, Darren Moens, Jaspreet Singh, and Larisa Topalo won bronze this month at the International Case Competition in Maastricht, Netherlands. The Beedie team completed two three-hour business cases and one 24-hour case, competing against 16 university teams from around the world. During their 24-hour case the students tackled questions about the investments and social-responsibility obligations of one of the world’s largest pension funds. The Beedie crew topped division B, beating out teams from the University of South Wales, Queensland University of Technology and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. “All of the cases were real-life business issues and the company’s representatives were there as judges,” says team member Lee.
