Sam Thiara of the Beedie School of Business has been named Mentor of the Year for his inspirational engagement and leadership in the Vancouver Board of Trade’s Leaders of Tomorrow (LOT) program. Thiara is manager of student engagement and recruitment at the Beedie School, and has worked with LOT since its establishment in 1999. The LOT program matches final year post-secondary students with industry professionals to help them develop skills in mentorship, leadership and volunteerism. LOT praised Thiara for exceeding the program requirements and for his commitment to the success of others.
