Clan women’s basketball head coach, Bruce Langford (above), has been chosen for the Basketball BC Hall of Fame and will be inducted during the organization’s annual awards gala April 21 at the Langley Events Centre. In his 11th season as coach, the Fraser Valley native has chalked up a remarkable 276-60 record at SFU. Langford led the Clan to five Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) national titles over nine years, twice earning CIS coach of the year honours, before SFU joined the National Collegiate Athletic Association Div. 2 Great Northwest Athletic Conference. The women host their annual Pink Zone breast cancer fundraiser Saturday, Feb. 18 at 7 pm in the West Gym against the Northwest Nazarene Crusaders.
